director
Liz Levine is an award winning producer, former journalist, and transmedia ideator. She is a story teller whose contributions span multiple platforms and genres, from fiction to non fiction, including the television series JPod and the critically acclaimed feature Toad Road. Combining her master’s degree in journalism with her years as a development executive, Levine marries her strong sense of story with the practical skills of production. As line producer and 1st AD Liz oversees the fiscal and temporal stewardship of a given project ensuring that it moves smoothly from idea to actuality — on schedule and on budget. Levine has overseen physical production on Random Bench’s feature films as well as film, television and commercial productions for a variety of clients and brands including Volkswagen. Her contributions have been to bring together her journalism training, digital savvy and work on feature films to authenticate her fiction with a sense of verite. A hallmark feature of her creative works is this combination of narrative, traditional and digital entertainment platforms with real life. As co-founder and senior partner of Random Bench Productions Levine has just completed her 6th feature film, STORY OF A GIRL directed by Kyra Sedgwick to be released fall 2017. She commutes between Vancouver, Los Angeles and Toronto.
