ZERO$ AND ONE$
From the beginning of time, we have gathered around the flickering lights in darkened caves to share our stories, satisfying the primal urge to gather, to be together. We’ve upgraded the caves and the flickering lights have become zeros and ones, and the impulse to gather and share our stories endures.
On our nervous little planet, many have lost the ability to hear each other, instead they see the OTHER. Now is not the time to stop gathering, listening, comparing stories, asking questions.
Along with our annual event, the Queens World Film Festival provides free programming to school students, families, Senior Citizens and filmmakers. By supporting QWFF you will allow us to continue these programs. With your Zero$ and One$ we will be able to continue bringing Filmmaker Mentors and cameras into the classroom and our free Encore Screening Series will continue to light up city parks, rooftops and community centers.
Use your Zero$ and One$ to support ours!
At the heart of the festival is a growing number of community members, filmmakers, artists and others who have stepped forward to help bring indie films, media arts programs and professional development to diverse and inclusive audiences.
These FRIENDS OF THE FESTIVAL get a discount on Festival Passes, are the first to hear the good news about our Alumni, the first to get the inside scoop on exciting updates and are invited to mixers with festival filmmakers past and present.
