Everything you want to know about the joys and agonies of crowd-funding your film (Kickstarter, etc) and the challenges of making money from the online platforms (Netlfix, etc). A chance to share ideas with some collegial industry pros, who, like you, are carving new pathways through the digital jungle.


SANDRA SCHULBERG (Moderator) was a senior executive for American Playhouse/Playhouse International Pictures, and managed film investments for Hollywood Partners, one of the private German media funds. She served as Executive Producer for the Oscar-nominated Quills, starring Geoffrey Rush and Kate Winslet. She founded the IFP in 1979; co-founded First Run Features in 1980; served as one of the first nominators to the Sundance Filmmakers Lab, and,for five years, on the Sundance Film Festival Advisory Committee. She now heads IndieCollect, the campaign to preserve and codify thousands of American independent films. An Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University, she teaches Feature Film Financing and International Co-Production in the graduate film school. MARC JACOBSON was selected by Chambers USA every year since 2005 and by Super Lawyers since 2008 as one of the top Entertainment Lawyers in. He represented the estates of George & Ira Gershwin, Elvis Presley and Duke Ellington and important songwriters such as Jimmy Webb, Shakira and Annie Roboff. He handled films like "Conviction" with Hilary Swank & Sam Rockwell and represented Oscar Nominee Rip Torn. Jacobson is the Founding Chairman of the NYS Bar Association Section on Entertainment Arts & Sports Law, testified before Congress and WIPO regarding the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and was Adjunct Professor of Entertainment Law at Fordham University Law School, CUNY Law School and The New School. JOSH GREEN is partner and producer for Game 7 Films. After serving over 10 years as the vice president of distribution for NY-based Emerging Pictures, Josh Green formed production and distribution services company Game 7 Films. His recent credits include executive producer on Ramona Diazís Donít Stop Believiní: Everymanís Journey, which is currently in release via Cinedigm Entertainment and Independent Lens and producer on hip-hop documentary I Want My Name Back, also in release via Image Entertainment. Green has several new features and docs in development and continues to represent finished films for sale and consult on distribution campaigns. He is a graduate of Columbia Business School and Cornell University.
