synopsis
Tom likes his 'hot sauce' spicy. Melanie, not so much. But has it always been that way? Life under the microscope of co-habitation in NYC, compounded by mounting pressures of happiness and fulfillment, all under the eyes of a social media age, have the couple stuck at a crossroads. Melanie wants the fastest route to victory not just in the corporate world but also the bedroom. Tom wishes she would just slow down, smell the roses and perhaps introduce a little thorn play now and again. But when Melanie leaves on a quick business trip the morning after an argument, both are tested in the face of adversity. How they pick up the pieces upon her return sets the stage for this drama / dark comedy.

director
Keith Marlin is a filmmaker based in Sunnyside, Queens. Since joining the Directors Guild of America in 2011 as a Second Assistant Director, Keith has worked on an array of critically acclaimed indie films and television shows. From such shows as NBC's 30 ROCK to Netflix's Wormwood, Keith has also been fortunate enough to pick the types of films he's worked on; having had the opportunity to work with a number of innovative directors such as Ira Sachs, Kelly Reichardt, Macon Blair and Jean-Marc Vallee . Being involved in executing the vision of those directors before him, Keith felt the time to tell his own narratives on the screen was due when he founded Brick Box Films in 2017. As a first time Writer/Director/Producer, 'Tom and the Domme' was the culmination of Keith's past industry experience coupled with his desire to create inspiring projects for the future.
