synopsis Nick Christmas always felt he was destined to be Santa. He had watched and learned all his life, waiting and hoping, desperately longing for his chance. Now he has a plan, and it involves a gun.
director Brian McGleenon is multi-talented. Known for his storyboards for feature films and advertisements, he has also collaborated with writer Sam Costello to produce a line of graphic novels (Split Lip).
His films are inspired by his thoughtful and conceptual fine art paintings which have been exhibited in Ireland and Korea.
Brian has also been funded by and directed two films for Northern Ireland Screen, ‘I Can't Stop My Dream' and ‘The Labyrinth'. Both films have been screened and gained recognition at festivals worldwide, in the US and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
In 2014 Brian has directed two impressive shorts 'The Shed' for Glass Forest Films and 'The Little Hermit' for Burning Ember Films in association with AJP Productions in Korea.
Brian's films question love, procreation, ego, social agenda, superficial and subconscious motivations and views of religion, race and sexuality.
Brian has also worked as an assistant director for the BBC and as production assistant for South Korea's KBS. He has also collaborated with the highly regarded experimental/ electro musician Boxcutter and the Scottish folk act, Lau.
