synopsis Michael is a charismatic and much-admired Rabbi at a Jerusalem Yeshiva. When his favourite student, Gadi, shares with him his innermost secrets, the Rabbi's familiar, secure world is shaken to the core.
director Uriya Hertz was born in 1990, in Jerusalem, to a religious Orthodox family. As a child, he studied at a Yeshiva high school in Jerusalem.
Graduated with honors from the Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem.
"Brothers", his third year film, won the Best Editing Award at the Tel-Aviv International Student Film Festival, participated in the Sao-Paulo Shot Film Festival, Heartland Film Festival and others.

filmmaker's note I was born into a religious Jewish family. Although I live today as a secular, the world of religion still fascinate me and accompany me in my cinematic work. In my films I try to test the individual's attempt to find his inner voice, within a closed and conservative religious world.
