synopsis
In a dystopian future where books are banned and confiscated, an underground sect of intellectual creatures seeks books, in order to save humanity from morphing into illiterate cockroaches

Pablo Calvillo was born in Malinalco, Mexico, where he started drawing at a very young age. In 2007, Calvillo graduated from the Experimental Animation Program at the California Institute of the Arts. Since then, Calvillo has worked in several film and animation studios in the United States, Mexico, Czech Republic, and Australia. He's worked as Story, Layout, Concept and Previz artist in movies such as Mad Max: Fury Road, Astroboy, The Lego Movie, Epic, Ice Age: Continental Drift, among others.
Today, Pablo Calvillo is the Creative Director at MaliArts, an animation and design studio that he and his brothers established in 2014 in Mexico City.
