synopsis
The southern comedy tells the story of millennial couple Layla Bailey (Holly) and Desi West (Forde) as they return to Layla's hometown of Gaffney, South Carolina to mourn the loss of family patriarch "Pop Pop." As the couple struggles to survive three days with Layla's dysfunctional Southern family they quickly come to learn that funerals ain't fun y'all.

CATHERINE DEE HOLLY (Layla Bailey) and FRAY FORDE (Desi West) are the filmmaking team behind Atlanta based production company Coki Productions. The duo first teamed up to create Good Hair, an award-winning short film selected by Kevin Hart to screen at the world's largest comedy festival, Just for Laughs 2017. Good Hair is also available to stream on Amazon Prime. Now, for the first time, they're premiering their debut feature film, Pop-Pop Is Dead.
Catherine Dee Holly has been seen in NCIS: New Orleans. Her break out roles were in Cannes Film Festival acclaimed short films Heartbreak Happy and Tragiometry.
Fray Forde has been seen in The CW's Dynasty, Netflix's Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up for the First Time and Warner Bros Scooby Doo spinoff, Daphne and Velma. As a stand up comedian, Fray has shared the stage with Chris Tucker, Hannibal Buress, Katt Williams, Rory Scovel, Ron White and more.
