synopsis
When Ashley realizes society has been selling her nothing but bullshit her entire life, she completely loses it in the middle of a douchey, artisanal restaurant. This story begs the question: does kale quinoa make you feel empowered? NO. OF COURSE, IT DOESN'T.

director
Emily A McGregor - After graduating from Chapman University with a BFA in film production and minor in studio art, Emily helped launch Comediva, LLC. Comediva produced digital content 100% dedicated to female-driven comedy before it was cool. Comediva received millions of views monthly on Comediva.com and across the 40 channels in the Comediva YouTube Network. While at Comediva, Emily wrote and directed over fifty sketches, ten web series, eight branded projects, and seven music videos totaling twelve million views and counting. She collaborated with brands such as Pepsi, Univision, Google, Netflix, NickMom, and The Susan B. Komen Foundation to create funny, branded campaigns. Her work has been featured on HuffPost, NY Times, CNN, Good Morning America, Mashable, Gizmodo, CBS Tech Talk, to name a few. Later she went on to sell a half-hour children's comedy pilot with Amazon Studios and she is a finalist in the 2017 Script Pipeline TV Writing Competition and semi-finalists in the Austin Film Festival script competition for a comedy pilot she wrote with her husband. Emily recently directed Mitu's first scripted comedy pilot, ‘Beauty School' (think a Latinx Parks and Rec set in a beauty school) and is currently developing a whole range of new TV show scripts and pitches!
