Senior year is almost over, Ray Waters has got the brains for college and his mom's routine collection of government checks make him eligible for all the financial aid. Stuck in the middle of it all, angry, confused and underachieving is Thaddeus 'Free' Freeman. With a big chip on his shoulder as he's being pulled in every direction except up, Free doesn't know what he wants his life to be, but he knows it has to be something more than this. But before he can get out of his situation, he must first learn to stand on his own two feet and discover some inner peace.
