Kiko, a Japanese illustrator on assignment in France, gets suddenly overwhelmed by a strange inspiration, while she realizes she's been spying on a gay couple on the beach next to the chapel where she's working. Obsessed by such a vision, she will spy on those men and draw them secretly. This will slowly push her towards an encounter that will change her life and breaks her social rules.
Manuel Marmier - I was born in 1979 in south west of France, in Bask Country and I spent all my youth close to the ocean. After my studies in cinema, I decided to work step by step to reach my goal: cinematographer. Aside this I began to write short stories, short movies.
As director of photography I worked on features films with directors Olivier Ducastel and Jacques Martineau. I did the cinematography of their two last films "Théo and Hugo, Paris 5:59" and "Haut Perchés". I did the cinematography of many others shorts. In 2009 I directed a very low budget self-produced short movie: "Mar7aba Ilkoun, Bonjour Parents" that was selected in Image+Nation LGBT film Festival in Montréal in 2010, and in festival Chéries Chéris in Paris the same year. "Les Saints de Kiko" is my first produced project as director.
