The story of Alexander, a socially awkward teenager and his impractical crush on a popular teenage girl. The film takes on the issue of teenage bullying in high schools social acceptance and cliques. Alexander, who is constantly picked on, is hopelessly infatuated with Brittany. Brittany and her popular clique are amused by Alexander's infatuation, and so Brittany asks Alexander out on a date as a joke. Surprisingly, as Brittany gets to know Alexander, she begins to like him. Unfortunately, she is unable to reverse the cruel joke that is planned for him. The story culminates in an unfortunate ending that reflects on the sad and selfish ways the some youth treat each other.
Michael Tanner Cusumano, a young filmmaker, has written, directed, and produced the movies "Missing," "Sage," and "Amanda." The 17-year-old recently received a Rising Star Award by the Canada International Film Festival. Born in Burbank, California, Michael Tanner Cusumano exhibited an early interest in the art of filmmaking. At the age of 12, he enrolled in the New York Film Academy's summer program and began screenwriting, producing, cinematography, directing, and editing. Michael Tanner Cusumano was featured in an interview on the Academy's website in which he talked about how the school has shaped him as a filmmaker. Cusumano continues to progress in his studies, currently participating in the Cinematic Arts Summer Program at the University of Southern California.
