All Cliff ever wanted was to be like his father, the stern Marine Sergeant who taught him how to ride a bike, throw a baseball and who made the best banana pancakes you've ever tasted. But after losing his father to a devastating explosion in a Vietnam War battle, Cliff was forced to fill those very large shoes quicker than he expected. Often working two jobs to help his mother with the bills, Cliff had little time for friends or romance. After years of looking for love in all of the wrong places, Cliff finally stumbles upon someone who catches his eye; Lolita, a feisty young woman bearing more than a pretty face and a bad attitude. Instantly intrigued by the challenge of taming this audacious beauty, Cliff blinded by passion makes a decision that he remains accountable for some 15 years later.
Anissa Marie Folley recently received her MPS from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) Live Action Short Film graduate program. Hailing from Maplewood New Jersey, Anissa became a fan of the arts at a young age, appearing in plays and musicals and also playing several musical instruments. She got her start behind the camera working in television at CCN, a cable network in her hometown run by the local high school students. Anissa immediately began to receive recognition for her thought provoking P.S.A.'s and vivid montages. The New Jersey native wrote, directed and produced the award-winning short film Thicker Than Water as her thesis project at SVA. "This is my first screenplay, I never expected it to get any recognition. Just being accepted into a festival is a humbling experience for me" quotes the young filmmaker. Before attending SVA, Anissa completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University double majoring in Communication and Political Science.
