synopsis
'Violet to Earth' is a beautiful, musically driven children's film with an art star edge that makes it fun for the whole family. The film depicts a batch of zany colorful aliens hailing from the planet of Prudenia. Violet, the heroine of the story, lands in Central Park in the center of New York City. Prudenia's leader Mayor Green sends her to find the missing Ultraviolet and Baby Azure, Blue's wife and child. Violet, using only her 'Magical Logical Locket,' goes in search of the missing pair and meets a variety of unforgettable characters along the way. She sings, dances, and hula-hoops with fellow Colors and new human friends, pursuing her mission and overcoming obstacles, all the while finding happiness.

director
Kirsten Stoffa and Jonathan Kowalski, the directors of "Violet to Earth," have been working professionally in the arts for the last 15 years. Their successes in their chosen fields have led to an incredible team that will, undoubtedly, create a brilliant film in "Violet to Earth." Kirsten Stoffa's primary film expertise lies in editing and has earned her acclaimed positions such as Assistant Editor of FINISHING HEAVEN, an HBO documentary feature. She was Assistant Editor of CHE: PART ONE and Che: PART TWO, a double feature with director Steven Soderbergh. Following the success of Che, Kirsten was the Associate Editor of the of a Sundance feature called CODEPENDENT LESBIAN SPACE ALIEN SEEKS SAME. Jonathan Kowalski began his performance career founding Vanderbilt Off- Broadway at Vanderbilt University. After completing college he moved to NYC to continue his dream of becoming a performer. Jonathan's professional resume includes Off-Broadway productions: Noemie LaFrance's NOIR, the controversial play KILL THE PRESIDENT, and AGORA II. On a more avant-garde resume, Jonathan has performed within the Art Star community of the Lower East Side for the last ten years and has pulled characters from this community into a working performance-art collective, The Colors Project.
