filmmaker's note Before I sat down to write "Blooming Road" I had a dark character in mind that loses herself and kills the perfect student from the pressures of attending medical school. I stopped and realized that will be too short even for a short film. I wanted to create something bigger I wanted to expand the pressure for the protagonist with more detail. I decided to stretch my idea. I wanted to make a film about the pressures of being a young adult. Your parents play a big role in your life and they want you to grow up and become what they envisioned for you. In this case Victoria our protagonist deals with her over bearing mother. In this story Victoria goes through a life changing realization. The film is filled with isolation and you feel caged in. I hope everyone can relate to the story in the sense that we all get lost on the path to happiness. We all want to please our parents, but at the end of the day this is our lives and we have to choose a path that we want.
