synopsis A small group of impassioned enthusiasts aim to preserve historic man-made structures inside the Adirondack Forest preserve in upstate, New York. Earmarked to be destroyed by New York State and ironically instrumental in the creation of the world's largest forest preserve, these structures now stand at the center of controversy in a heated environmental battle.
director Director Mike Camoin is well known for his doc, Inside the Blue Line (1998), other completed works include "How to Make an Adirondack Packbasket" and "Battles of Saratoga". Camoin's company, Videos For Change Productions, recently inked an agreement with WCNY-PBS to complete the feature length piece by the same title. Other works in post-production include: "An American Life: The Journey from Violence to Hope," featuring David Kaczynski who turned brother Ted aka the Unabomber in to authorities in 1996. A leader in independent film production in northeastern New York, Mike Camoin is co-founder of Upstate Independents, Inc. a network of AIVF established in 1995, now home to over 200 media artists headquartered in Albany, NY.
