synopsis While time moves backwards, a filmmaker tells a story of what matters most to him amidst art, nature and the general beauty of the world.
director Joshua Marcus Lester is a filmmaker living in Boulder, Colorado and a film student at the University of Colorado. He grew up in Monte Nido, California. However, he also spent time living abroad in the Aberdare Mountains near Nyeri, Kenya in East Africa. Joshua has been making films for the better of 5 years and made his first digital movie Shadows and Silhouettes in 2009, using a standard definition DV camcorder. During production classes at the University of Colorado he wrote, directed and edited three more films: Self Portrait and Aperture in 2009, both using Super 8 millimeter film. In 2010, The Essence of Dreaming, using 16 millimeter film. Joshua Marcus Lester has been previously awarded achievements in Film at the University of Colorado and an Official Selection to the NewFilmmakers Screening Series. Website Filmography
