A dark, quirky horror film about a sect of female vampires who use a South Bronx comedy club as a hunting ground for their 'feed.'One night a mysterious woman lures a sexist comedian, with a rare blood type, back to her secluded lair with the promise of stinky haze and hot sex. Once there his unique blood awakens Mary, a repulsive vampire with a very ancient grudge. He's subsequently blood jacked and kept in storage until he grows old and dies. LOOKING FOR THESE? is a short narrative film in the vein (no pun intended) of a Twilight Zone episode, coupled with a graphic novel in it's aesthetic visual treatment.
Everything that comedian, filmmaker, screenwriter, Arnold Acevedo does springs from his experiences growing up in Long Island as the first generation son of Puerto Rican parents. He made his television debut on NBC's Its Showtime at the Apollo. Other TV credits quickly followed including five on BET's Comic View, and two on NBC's Law & Order. In 2008 he was chosen to perform at the Univision Consumer Insights through Comedy Show during ad week, in front of advertisers from across the country. Arnold is a filmmaker who believes the best way to learn your craft is by developing and shooting your own stories in collaboration with people whose talent and work ethic you respect. An early influence was Robert Rodriquez and his book "Rebel Without a Crew." His latest undertaking is "Looking for these?" a short comedic horror film he financed, wrote and directed himself through his production company MOSAIC MUTINY. He currently lives in his adopted New York borough, the Bronx.
