synopsis
A single mom must overcome her brother's vengeance before giving herself and her son a new beginning.

director
Marc Macalusoís work aims to observe and reshape the perception of ourselves and the worlds we inhabit. Most comfortable challenging dogmas of the status quo, Marc is a natural agitator who instigates ideas with impact on a multi-platform canvas. In 2015 Marcís wide experience crystalized in the inauguration of Turbulent, a content, transmedia, and strategic services company intent on accelerating paradigm shifts through story. Before Turbulent, Marc was a self-taught engineer cum technology entrepreneur, a Director of Product Development and Creative Director for Bain Capital backed Datasynapse, head of Creative Technology at BBDO Atmosphere, and a strategic brand strategist for Lipton, Mahogany Bay Village and a variety of clients. "Blood Memory" is Marc's directing and writing debut, and when filming started it was only his 3rd time to ever set foot on a film set.
Filmography

filmmaker's note
"I set out to capture the exact moment when a human being decides to change the course of their life; a course that has been well worn for generations. In this story the audience is presented with a family that has dwindled to its last remnants and either the two siblings can go down with the sinking ship, or one of them can make the hard choice to leave everything behind and give herself and her son a new history. It's a hard choice, but a choice every human being can relate to. Whether we have a healthy or unhealthy relationship with our family, every time in life that our dreams and hopes for the future are in contrast with the life around us, the life we've been taught and have been born into, then you will understand this story."
