director Ciarán Dooley's writing and directing career began with two full length stage plays, which were performed in Dublin in 2013. filmmaker's note I wanted to make a film about somebody who took responsibility for their lives – who had compassion for their happiness. I thought “who could be the person with the most amount of happiness, who truly loves what they do?” I don’t know why, but the character of The Sweeper creeped into my head - Somebody who understands the simplicity behind the craziness of life; someone who not only understands it, but stays true to it.
