synopsis
Locked up in a psyche ward for trying to save a terrified cat- Broke, living off the grid and on the run from a man who wants to kill him- Rescuing a rare mural before it was intentionally destroyed… Is this the life of a madman? No, it's just a guy named Chris Muth– part Indiana Jones, part Ralph Kramden. Everything in Chris' world has been totally crazy, even before he got a multi-million dollar painting… but is it? After an enormous renovation at a New York synagogue, the massive painting, "Paradise - Land of Men, Trees, Birds & Ships" was going to be intentionally destroyed. Created by famous Jewish Austrian painter Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser (yea, it's a mouthful) there was no plan to save the massive mural. But after a miraculous last minute rescue by humble contractor, Chris, "Paradise" was saved… or so we thought. But no one in the art world can figure out how much it's worth. A few thousand? A few MILLION? Chris still hangs onto the painting- hoping, praying that someone will buy it for a cool $10 mil, which he’ll use to try to save the world, to restore “Paradise” on earth. School books for African children, water, medicine but even though his heart is the right place Chris seems to be unable to care for himself as the mural rots in a Brooklyn warehouse with no buyers in sight.

director
Conrad Stojak is local Queens artist that has been terribly unsuccessful with trying to become a millionaire, rock star filmmaker. After a few features and docs that have gone no place Conrad is desperately trying to salvage a career and life that has gone nowhere as his bank account dwindles every day. Conrad is a very talented guy but he hardly gets noticed and can’t fathom how he’s been in the television and film industry since high school and yet can’t become one of those guys who makes one of the those independent movies and dates super models while living it up in Hollywood. May be this time around things will be better.
