synopsis Living in the shadow of the Tooth Fairy, the Earth Fairy has an identity crisis and seeks professional help. This film was created as part of the 48-Hour Film Project, in which a short narrative film -- containing several very specific elements -- had to be written, filmed, and produced within 48 hours. The film had to include the following elements:Character: Rick or Rita Hernandez, DoctorProp: ChairLine of Dialog: 'I'm trying my best'Genre Randomly Drawn From a Hat: Film de FemmeNew filmmaker Kim Sheridan accepted this challenge, but took it one step further. She chose to do it all with a cast and crew of only two: herself and her husband. Kim wrote, directed, produced, filmed, starred, co-edited, and created the musical score.
director As a young child, Kim Sheridan spent much of her free time engaged in one form of entertainment or another. She often wrote, produced, and performed plays, puppet shows, musical performances, and other productions for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was also an active cast and crew member of school plays and church productions; and she even earned a special Girlscout badge by adapting a play called "The Miracle Worker" (about the life of Helen Keller) for a crew of three, in which she played the leading role as Annie Sullivan, Helen Keller's teacher. In college, Kim dabbled in various performing arts courses; and she tried to enroll in a Film Production program but was daunted by a six-year waiting list. Her life then went off in other directions: She earned a Naturopathic degree in holistic health, co-founded a nutritional supplement company, and then became an award-winning author. But her filmmaking dreams never died, so she took production courses in her spare time, founded EnLighthouse Entertainment, and finally just went ahead and made her first short film - so "Good versus Evil" was born!
