synopsis
An hilarious, free wheeling, throw back homage to the great comedies of the 70's and 80's: a mockumentary shot all over New York (especially Arthur Avenue in the Bronx! Shout out to our Italian peeps!) shot by a crew of just two guys who miraculously did it all, (armed with one inexpensive camera, fueled by this impossible to contain, crazy passion for making movies). It's focus: two families and two kids in love that leads to one all out domestic war. The ad line: "It Was Love At First Fight." The basic message: love and life are not etched in black and white. Literally.

director
David Simon: New York. LA. Back to New York to do what I LOVE round the clock: write, shoot, laugh, rinse, repeat.
Filmography

filmmaker's note
I started The Wit Protection Program in my quaint little rivertown community which is a mere 30 minutes north of Manhattan (you can wave to it from here) because (A) all these ridiculously talented, creatively hungry, supremely passionate people hang out at the local coffee shop Antoinettes and are always game for a project but most importantly (B) I wanted to find a way to preserve the kind of comedy that I have loved all my life: well crafted, smart and hilarious. What I learned: it takes a village. Literally. We can't wait for you to see it!! Enjoy! And when you are in New York come to Antoinette's for some non Starbucks coffee and then head to Arthur Avenue (where we shot spontaneously/on the fly) for the BEST food and people you will ever meet. All those extras/locals in our film? All they did was play with us...and kiss our faces.
