synopsis
The historic city of Dubrovnik, Croatia provides the setting for this collection of vignettes intersecting within the walls of the Old Town. Born in former Yugoslavia, the three subjects deal with their ever-evolving national and personal identities.

director
Surbhi Dewan is an independent documentary filmmaker and freelance video editor. She completed her MFA in Film from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, and her BA in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, India. Her work till now has attempted to connect personal portraits to larger socio-political issues. She is primarily interested in the effects of displacement on identity. Along with her upcoming documentary ‘Daughter of Nepal', she is working on a collaborative piece exploring the Partition of India in 1947 through personal narrative. She is currently based in Queens, New York.
