synopsis
A sheltered woman, reeling from the death of her mother, shows her sister how far she will go to be heard.

director
Heather Taylor is a writer, director and co-founder of the creative studio, Cereal Made. She has developed shorts, web series and features - both narrative and documentary - and graduated with a Masters in Screenwriting from City University, London. After living in Canada and the U.K., Taylor now calls New York home. Her career highlights include her first feature film script, The Last Thakur, which premiered at the London International Film Festival; her sci-fi web series, Raptured, which had over one million views and is being developed into a TV series; and Stitched, her award-winning horror short, which played at festivals internationally. Taylor has also developed branded content programs with organizations such as The Economist and the BBC and brands such as IKEA, PayPal, Microsoft, IBM, Nespresso, RBC, Samsung and UN Women. Her proudest moment came after the London riots, when she amassed more than 500 people in South London to clean their streets. This group, branded the Broom Army, hit front pages around the world and resulted in Taylor receiving a Local Heroes award. Currently, she is working on her second feature film, ROT, with New York-based BullMoose Pictures, and her latest horror short, Pay To Stay, will play festivals in 2019.

filmmaker's note
We are often put in boxes. You must say, do, and act as expected. With Brexit opening the locks of years of repressed angry and a looming election escalating tensions across the US, more people are saying what they think no matter the consequences. But what about within your own family? As the eldest of four, I understand the push and pull of siblings. There are so many things left unsaid, so how far would a family member go to be heard? And what would the ultimate impact be on their existence? Stitched was born out of those questions.
