synopsis The Red Effect is a hard-hitting drama with a strikingly familiar storyline: An unarmed black teenager is shot and killed by a white man.Directed by Jordan Miller, this intense and thought-provoking film doesn't hold back from asking the difficult questions. It explores the hypocrisy of our supposed 'post-racial America' and the strength of the human spirit to survive through adversity and learn to persevere.
director Jordan is an award winning filmmaker, musician, artist and recording engineer who lives in Frederick MD with a pile of equipment and his dog, Tetralemma. Jordan has always dedicated his life to his crafts, splitting his time between many visual and musical projects. After earning his Masters Degree in film production from American University, Jordan spent much of his time collaborating with Blue Artist to work on his first feature film, 'The Red Effect', a drama inspired initially by the tragic events of Trayvon Martin. The film was two years in the making and in the meantime Jordan has produced an award winning short film, 'Lastwinter', as well as several albums of original music and many music videos for various bands and hip hop artists.
Currently, Jordan is sole owner and engineer of Maryland based recording studio and film production house, Gypsy Cab Studios. He also drums/sings in the bands Time Columns and Lost Keys.
