Naive Mr. Young lives in a very controlling political environment that imposes certain sanctions on people's private lives. While applying for a Love & Sex Permit, an encounter with the Administrator finds him becoming increasingly on guard and entangled in red tape and incriminating words.
Christopher Ludgate is an award winning writer, multi-media journalist, and filmmaker from New York City. His latest film, With Love (click to view trailer), is a love letter documentary directed & produced by Chris in a rare vérité glimpse of a volunteer's experience with God's Love We Deliver. It is currently on the international festival circuit. Ludgate's globally praised film, The Love Permit, continues to draw audiences and recently had the honor of being screened in this Summer's NYC Parks Outdoor Movie Screenings with the beautiful backdrop of the Manhattan Skyline on the East River. The film was also curated by New York City's newly revamped world-class Queens Museum sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and NY's Contemporary Art Ministry in 2014.
Recent journalistic freelance pursuits include work as a contributing Travel & Culture Writer and Associate Editor for GoNomad, LAX, and Passport Magazine, among others. His latest pieces from recent journeys to castle hopping in the historic French Loire Valley, Paris, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Tolédo, Rome, Florence, Rehoboth, Lewes, and New Orleans among other domestic destinations like the vineyards of Cape May, also include his photography.
Ludgate graduated with honors from NYC's Baruch College earning a degree in Journalism & Film. He also earned a degree in Creative Writing & Literature. He received multiple scholastic awards, including top annual drama and short fiction prizes, full-ride merit scholarships, the Katzen prize for volunteerism, and the annual award for Journalism Research. He was also a revered feature writer, photographer and multi-media associate editor at City University's national award winning Dollars and Sense Magazine.
Christopher's resume also includes prolific achievements in multiple performing arts mediums as director and producer, playwright, screenwriter, and trained actor. He studied theater at Strasberg Theater Institute and HB Studios while setting out in NYC in earlier years. Interesting facts: Chris appeared in major supporting roles in two feature films and several short films worldwide. He also appeared in U.S. soap operas and in many roles in NYC's theater scene. While studying in New York and LA, Chris also fell into modeling and emerged on many covers of fantasy novels, in commercial print and TV ads, fitness videos, and runway. Chris currently resides in his native NYC in the company of family, close friends, kitties, and his typewriter.
