John Appleton ignited his pursuit of filmmaking with the film "Effects of Gravity", winner of Best Experimental Film at the 2010 Accolade Film Festival. He went on to edit Tyler Ludowitz's art house documentary "Quiet Place in the Universe", a brutal journey spanning the globe shot entirely in super 8. Most recently he completed the post production on writer/director Kylie Garcelon's short film "Moral Compass" as well as writer/director Sara Friedman's short film "Heightened". His feature debut "Nothing Serious" won lead actor Sara Seger best actress at the 2016 Trail Dance Film Festival and won him the Special Prize for First Feature at the 2016 Queens World Film Festival.
