filmmaker's note
Atomic Mother is the first in a proposed seven short anthology documentaries dealing with the global human condition. The original music is from composer Jonathan Elias’ “The Prayer Cycle: Path to Zero.” I have been a fan of Elias’ compositional mastery since 1999. Upon listening to his most recent project, I immediately began to visualize each composition. Atomic Mother was profoundly moving. In the fall of 2016, With the changing political landscape and growing, volatile rhetoric, I felt it was time to create a proactive dialogue through music and film. It is important to enlighten younger generations of the severity of once again living under the threat of nuclear war. We have been here before and tomorrow should not equal yesterday. The intent of Atomic Mother is not to elicit fear but rather to remind and promote consciousness. Life is evolutionary.
