Found Super 8mm home movies of wildlife from 1960s apartheid era South Africa and colonial Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) combined with audio collected in 2007 by American filmmaker Roger Horn while attending a wildlife film training program in Cape Town, seeks to disorient and force the viewer to confront their own stereotypes and ponder the nature of capturing images in Southern Africa.
Roger Horn lectures in Visual Anthropology at the University of Cape Town, drawing upon his 19 years of experience across various disciplines and media outlets for inspiration. Additionally, Roger is currently pursuing his PhD in Visual Anthropology where he continues to research and expand upon the material presented in his films on Zimbabwean women in Cape Town, "These Objects, Those Memories", "Migrant Dilemma", and "Research / Souvenir (Dialogues)".
