synopsis
Kids often receive unequal gender-related messages from the adults around them. These messages can be as simple as the toys we assign to boys and girls. Daryl Hannah, Michael Madsen and LeVar Burton join voices with Yvette Nicole Brown as a group of toys segregated by gender on the day their world changes.

director
A graduate of New York City's High School of Art and Design and Pratt Institute, a 20-year veteran of the animation and visual-effects industry with credits spanning from 'The Lion King' and 'Spider-Man' to 'Snakes on a Plane' and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', James Parris is a director with an uncommon eye and a giant bag of tricks. As the visual and creative voice of Paper Tiger Films, James is developing science-fiction, fantasy, and thriller feature projects.

filmmaker's note
I have always been drawn to human empowerment stories, and I also happen to be a giant geek with an unbreakable belief in the power of storytelling to change the world. Kids often receive unequal gender-related messages from the adults around them. These messages can be as simple as the toys we assign to boys and girls. Pink & Blue is my way of saying ‘If the toys could speak for themselves, they’d realize that segregation is a bad thing.’
